Local lore tells of a small wooden church that once stood here in the late 1700s, burned to the ground under mysterious circumstances. No official records remain. No confirmed cause was ever found. What endures is the echo of its presence — a reminder that history does not always reveal itself fully, and that some truths are meant to be felt, not explained. It was this sense of reverence, curiosity, and unresolved beauty that inspired Burnt Church Distillery.
